TLSO Scholarship

PURPOSE

  • To recognize and assist students aspiring to pursue a career in the auction industry.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicant must be planning to attend auction school.
  • Applicant must be a high school graduating senior, undergraduate, or graduate student attending an accredited college or university, or a student attending a technical school.
  • Proof of enrollment and/or transcript required with submission.
  • Applicant must submit an essay that clearly articulates their plans, goals, and motivations within the auction business. This essay is a vital component of the application, as it provides insight into the applicant’s future ambitions and how they align with the auction industry.
  • Applicant must be present on January 28th at the Texas Lone Star Open in Fort Worth, Texas to receive the scholarship and sell an item on stage.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

  • January 15, 2024, at 11:59 PM CT
  • Late submissions will not be accepted.

SUBMISSION PROCESS

  • Applications, attachments, and supporting documents must be submitted online here
  • A confirmation email will be sent upon receipt of submission.

SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT

  • Full tuition to auction school, paid directly to the school of the applicant’s choosing.
  • Scholarship covers tuition only, excluding housing, accommodations, or travel.

SELECTION PROCESS

  • Winners to be notified by January 19, 2024.
  • Selection determined by the Texas Lone Star Open Trustees.
  • Trustees reserve the right to withhold the award if insufficient qualified applications are received.
  • Scholarships granted without regard to race, color, religion, gender, age, national origin, disability, marital status, or any other protected class.
