While at the TAA convention, I noticed that there were no Bibles in the room. I sent the Kalahari Resort a text requesting a Bible in the room. The text back from them stated “We do not provide Bibles”. I texted back, please have one of the owners call me. The reply was “None of the owners are available”.

About an hour later, I was at the front of the meeting room. A man walked up to me who I recognized as one of the owners. He asked me how my stay was, so I told him about the Bibles. He told me there would be Bibles placed in every room.

Our auction company sold out a sporting goods store at Teague, Tx. Several customers purchased items so they could put items in the shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child for Samaritans Purse. Samaritans Purse sends shoeboxes around the world to do Christian ministry.

One of our customers Jonathan Pelkemeyer of Brenham, donated his items he purchased to FCAI. We sold the items at the Fun Auction at the convention.

As we remember our fallen heroes on Memorial Day, our prayers are with their families and all of our Gold Star families.

Donald Kirkland, an auctioneer in Florida shared this, “True heroism is remarkably sober, very undramatic. It is not the urge to surpass all others at whatever cost, but the urge to serve others at whatever cost.” – Arthur Ashe.

Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor, and theologian who gave his life for the protection of the Jewish people during Hitler’s regime, has said famously. “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”

Scripture gives us assurance that God will take care of us. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your path. Proverbs 3:5-6. Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10.

We had a great Prayer Breakfast on Sunday to conclude the TAA convention. John Sisk performed several of his songs and gave a testimony. He shared with us what a special person Sheila was. All of you who have accepted Christ as Savior will see Sheila again at the Great Reunion.

Tracie and Montie Davis read the list of those who have gone to be with the Lord. We praise God for all of you who were able to attend.
