This revision, as well as past revisions, are being paid for by a grant from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, the Auctioneer Education and Recovery Fund. The Green Book is available for all auctioneers and the general public on TDLR’s web site http://www.license.state.tx.us) as well as TAA’s.
The Green Book is free, and is available on the web, to perform word searches, or you can look through the Table of Contents to find out what Texas or Federal law or rule covers and has to say about what you are selling at auction. But be careful! These laws use specific wording, so if you can not find something at first, try a different wording before giving up. If you still have questions, contact the state or federal agency that governs the item(s).
These updates are a continuing effort of researching the State and Federal Laws and Administrative Agency Rules implemented by the governing agency. If you have had an experience with a law or rule that would be of benefit to the members, and do not find it in the Green Book now, please forward the information to TAA Headquarters @ taa.execdir@gmail.com.
